the four party paths

Shared Experience divides monster experience between eligible party members and increases the party's total experience through party-size and vocation-diversity bonuses.

Eligibility checklist

Shared Experience works only while every participant meets all of these conditions:

  1. The party has at least two players, including the leader.
  2. Every player is at least ceil(highest party level × 2 / 3).
  3. Every player stays within 30 tiles horizontally and no more than one floor from the party leader.
  4. Every player has attacked a creature or healed a player during the last 30 seconds.
  5. The party leader has enabled Shared Experience in the party interface.

If any participant becomes ineligible, the shared-experience icon changes and sharing pauses until all conditions are met again.

Fast level check: use !share. While in a party it reports the minimum level required for that party; outside a party it reports the compatible range around your own level.

Minimum-level examples

Highest party level Minimum eligible level
50 34
100 67
150 100
200 134
300 200
500 334
1,000 667
2,000 1,334
3,200 2,134

The result is always rounded up. For example, a highest level of 200 requires level 134, not 133.

Experience multiplier

Two bonuses are calculated, and the higher multiplier is used. They are not added together.

Party size Size multiplier Different base vocation paths Diversity multiplier
2 players 1.10× (+10%) 2 paths 1.60× (+60%)
3 players 1.20× (+20%) 3 paths 2.00× (+100%)
4+ players 1.30× (+30%) 4 paths 2.40× (+140%)

The four base paths are Sorcerer, Druid, Paladin and Knight. Promotion, Grand and Ancient vocations count as their original base path.

Common party examples

Players Different paths Applied multiplier Total party bonus Each player's share of the monster's base XP
2 1 1.10× +10% 55%
2 2 1.60× +60% 80%
3 1 1.20× +20% 40%
3 2 1.60× +60% 53.33%
3 3 2.00× +100% 66.67%
4 1 1.30× +30% 32.5%
4 2 1.60× +60% 40%
4 3 2.00× +100% 50%
4 4 2.40× +140% 60%

The per-player result is (monster XP × applied multiplier) / number of party participants. For parties larger than four, the same multiplier rules apply and the result is divided by the full party size.

Troubleshooting

Symptom What to check
Sharing is active but disabled A member is too low level, too far from the leader, on another floor or has been inactive for over 30 seconds.
Diversity bonus is lower than expected Two promoted vocations may belong to the same base path; for example Sorcerer and Ancient Sorcerer count as one path.
A member stopped receiving XP Regroup near the leader and have every participant attack or heal again.
