We Are Dragons is an Open PvP world. This page explains the rules that affect ordinary player combat, unjustified kills, skulls and death protection.

Quick checks

In-game command What it shows
!frags Daily, weekly and monthly unjustified kills; kills remaining before Red Skull and a ban; protected-kill allowance and reset time.
!pz Remaining combat timer or PvP PZ lock.
Always check !frags before risky PvP. Reaching any one of the daily, weekly or monthly limits is enough to trigger its consequence.

Unjustified-kill limits

Counter Red Skull at Two-day ban at Counter reset
Daily 555 755 Every day
Weekly 3,555 4,055 Every Monday
Monthly 10,555 11,055 First day of every month

An unjustified kill increases all three counters at the same time. Red Skull is applied when at least one Red Skull threshold is reached. A two-day character ban is applied when at least one ban threshold is reached.

When a player kill is not an unjustified frag

The kill does not add a normal unjustified frag when one of these conditions applies:

  • both players are inside the same designated PvP combat area;
  • the victim is a valid White Skull, Red Skull or Yellow Skull target for the killer;
  • both players are in the same party;
  • both players are in the same guild;
  • the guilds are in an accepted guild war or both use War Mode.

The server message after the kill tells the killer when a murder was unjustified. Use !frags to confirm the updated counters.

New-player and large-mismatch protection

Situation Result
A skull-free level 8-50 character would be killed by another player The victim is moved to the temple, restored and loses no items or experience.
A level 8-50 victim has any skull New-player protection does not apply; death proceeds normally.
A skull-free victim is vastly weaker than the attacker by level or PvP Power Large-mismatch protection may move and restore the victim instead of allowing the death. The attacker is informed and a protected kill is recorded.

Protected kills use a separate allowance. !frags shows how many have been used, how many remain and when that allowance resets.

Combat timers and skull penalties

  • The ordinary combat/PZ-lock duration is 60 seconds.
  • White Skull time is 15 minutes. Continued combat can refresh the relevant timer.
  • Skull penalties are added to the character's normal death loss after blessings and other death-loss reductions are considered.
Skull on death Additional experience loss Additional skill loss Additional magic-level loss
Yellow +5 percentage points +5 percentage points +5 percentage points
White +10 percentage points +15 percentage points +15 percentage points
Red +30 percentage points +35 percentage points +35 percentage points

The final loss for each category cannot exceed 100%.

Safe PvP checklist

  1. Run !frags and read all three counters.
  2. Check the victim's skull and your guild/party relationship.
  3. Do not assume an area is frag-free unless it is a designated PvP combat area.
  4. Run !pz before trying to enter protection zones, use restricted items or log out safely.
