This is the main onboarding route for a new We Are Dragons character. It replaces the former overlapping beginner and complete-guide pages with one current checklist.
Before you enter the game
- Download the official client and extract it into a new folder.
- Create or select your character and choose one of the four paths described on Vocations and Advancement.
- Keep Map Viewer and Loot Finder available.
- Join official Discord for live event and maintenance announcements.
Your first session
| Step | What to do | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Learn your combat role | Read the short vocation comparison, equip items appropriate for your path and test your healing before leaving a safe area. | Sorcerer/Druid, Paladin and Knight scale differently and use different equipment pools. |
| 2. Configure loot | Open the Auto Loot window in the client and select the items and target containers you want to use. | Materials, currency and reroll items are central to later progression. |
| 3. Begin repeatable progress | Check Tasks, Daily task and Monster Points. | These systems lead into bosses, access requirements and long-term rewards. |
| 4. Inspect equipment | Learn the difference between Rare/Epic/Legendary rarity and equipment tier T1-T5. | Rarity controls bonus rolls; equipment tier controls which crafting and reroll materials work. |
| 5. Use the tools | Search monster drops in Loot Finder and locations in Map Viewer instead of relying on old static route images. | The tools cover far more monsters and locations than hand-written wiki tables. |
First progression loop
HUNT AND TASK → IMPROVE EQUIPMENT → UNLOCK QUEST ACCESS → RUN BOSSES/DUNGEONS → REBORN AND SPEND MASTERY POINTS
Repeat this loop instead of treating levels as the only goal:
- Hunt monsters appropriate to your damage and survivability; use Loot Finder to target materials you actually need.
- Complete regular and daily tasks while hunting.
- Upgrade coherent item sets, then use Rarity Crafting and Item Reroll only with materials matching the item's tier.
- Complete access quests before planning a dungeon run. The Dungeons table lists the exact level, access, reborn and currency requirements.
- Reborn at an available milestone and use the resulting progression resources in the Mastery Tree.
Progression roadmap
Reborn stages use these minimum-level milestones. A reborn returns the character to level 8 and grants permanent progression rewards; prepare your equipment and route before confirming it with the NPC. The exact maximum levels, points, rewards and reset behavior are documented in Reborn system.
| Reborn milestone | Minimum level | NPC |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 200 | Reborn Master |
| 2 | 300 | Ancient Reborn Master |
| 3 | 500 | Flame Reborn Master |
| 4 | 750 | Wind Reborn Master |
| 5 | 900 | Light Reborn Master |
| 6 | 1000 | Death Reborn Master |
| 7 | 2500 | Bloodmoon Reborn Master |
Click to expand the dungeon milestones
| Level/reborn point | Currently available dungeon targets |
|---|---|
| Level 100-150 | Gorgols, Immortals, Storm Islands and Fire Storm, after their access requirements. |
| Level 350 | Tentacles, after Tentacle Quest. |
| Level 500 and Reborn 5 | Urtrudurks, after Elite Urtrudurk Access. |
| Level 600 and Reborn 6 | Samurais and Mage Samurai, after Samurai Access. |
| Level 900 and Reborn 6 | Bloodmoons, after defeating Infernal Overlord. |
These are entry thresholds, not a promise that a fresh character at the minimum requirement can comfortably clear the selected difficulty. See difficulty multipliers.
Equipment order that avoids wasted materials
- Decide which active item set and equipment tier you are building.
- Obtain or craft the base pieces.
- Apply or upgrade rarity with compatible T1-T5 materials.
- Use Reforge to change normal attributes; lock valuable rolls when needed.
- Use value rerolls only when the attribute selection is already good.
- On Legendary items, pursue Legendary Attributes only with a compatible essence scroll.
| 1. ITEM RARITY rarity levels and possible stats |
2. RARITY CRAFTING crafting and upgrading equipment |
3. ITEM REROLL reforge, values, locks and gems |
4. LEGENDARY ATTRIBUTES unique legendary effects |

If you are stuck
- Missing an access? Re-read the exact access column on Dungeons and search the named NPC or location in Map Viewer.
- Unsure what drops an item? Search the exact item name in Loot Finder.
- A scroll refuses an item? Check the item's equipment tier, whether the item is enchanted and the action table on Item Reroll.
- A live event or rate appears different from an old guide? Treat the client and official Discord announcement as authoritative, then report the wiki mismatch.
