The Xerxes Auraorb Quest takes a team of six players through an Ankrahmun tomb, a sacrifice ritual and the fight against Ancient Xerxes. Each character can collect one Xerxes Auraorb from the final chest. Wearing it in the Auraorb slot grants a 5% experience boost, alongside its equipment bonuses.

Full spoiler: this guide includes the entrance, floor changes, exact offering positions and reward. Click a map to enlarge it. Coordinates are x, y, z; a larger z means a deeper floor. Maps face north.

Route: Ankrahmun entrance → tomb floors 8–11 → level 250 door → six thrones → Ancient Xerxes → temporary reward portal → orb chest.

Preparation

  • Bring six players, each level 250 or higher. The level 250 door is before the throne room. Meeting the level requirement alone does not mean the team is ready for the boss.
  • Prepare for a long underground route and a strong boss with physical, earth and death attacks, plus mana drain. Bring enough healing and mana supplies for everyone.
  • Bring the offerings below. These quantities are for one team activation, not for each player. The offerings are consumed when the ritual succeeds.
  • Leave room for the reward and keep the whole team together before starting the ritual.
Total for the team Item Important detail
6 Helmet of the Ancients Use the ordinary Armor: 8 helmet. The enchanted Armor: 11 version has the same name but does not work here.
2 Scarab Amulet One goes at each outer end of the two offering benches.
2 Holy Scarab These are Holy Scarabs, not Scarab Coins.

1. Find the entrance in Ankrahmun

Reach the three adjacent portals at 33150–33152,32556,7. Any of them takes you to the tomb entrance at 33482,32651,8.

Ankrahmun entrance and return location

The nearby portal at 33480,32652,8 returns you to Ankrahmun at 33152,32563,7. Continue through the tomb to reach the deeper floors.

2. Descend to the throne room

Follow the passages on each map to the next staircase. The numbered markers identify the arrival and next objective on that floor.

Floor 8: entrance to the eastern stairs

From 33482,32651,8, follow the tomb passages to the stairs at 33535–33536,32668,8 and descend to floor 9.

Tomb floor 8: entrance and stairs to floor 9

Floor 9: reach the southwestern stairs

Continue through the passages to 33474–33476,32692,9 and descend to floor 10.

Tomb floor 9: the route to the next staircase

Floor 10: reach the western stairs

Find the stairs at 33465–33467,32670,10 and descend to floor 11.

Tomb floor 10: the route to floor 11

Floor 11: open the level 250 door

Reach the door at 33497,32684,11. Each player needs level 250 to pass. The six thrones are in the room immediately east of this door.

Tomb floor 11: staircase and throne-room door

You may find half-burned pages while exploring. They provide hints about Xerxes, scarabs and the helmets; collecting them is not required to activate the thrones.

3. Arrange the offerings

Place the items in the positions below, all on floor 11. Put the correct item on top and keep unrelated items off these offering positions.

Six player positions in the Xerxes ritual room

Helmets: one directly north of each player

Place one ordinary Helmet of the Ancients on each of these six positions:

Throne marker Player stands at Helmet goes at
1 33502,32683,11 33502,32682,11
2 33507,32683,11 33507,32682,11
3 33512,32683,11 33512,32682,11
4 33502,32686,11 33502,32685,11
5 33507,32686,11 33507,32685,11
6 33512,32686,11 33512,32685,11

Scarabs and amulets: the two middle benches

The four offerings share the same y-coordinate, between the two rows of thrones. From west to east:

Position Place this item
33504,32684,11 1 Scarab Amulet
33505,32684,11 1 Holy Scarab
33509,32684,11 1 Holy Scarab
33510,32684,11 1 Scarab Amulet

4. Activate the six thrones

  1. Finish placing all ten offerings before the last player steps onto a throne.
  2. Put one player on each of the six numbered throne positions.
  3. When the final player steps onto their throne with all positions and offerings correct, the six players are teleported to 33541,32686,12. The offerings are consumed and Ancient Xerxes appears to the north.
  4. If everyone was already standing in position while the offerings were being arranged, have one player step off and back onto their throne to check the ritual again.

The blue portal on the east side of the throne room is a separate passage. Use the six-throne ritual to enter the Ancient Xerxes fight.

5. Defeat Ancient Xerxes

Ancient Xerxes appears at 33541,32671,12, north of the party's arrival point.

  • Expect strong melee, earth and death damage, as well as mana drain. Avoid lining up the whole group in front of the boss's beams.
  • Fire, energy and earth damage do not work against this boss. Choose other damage types.
  • Keep the group ready to move after the kill: the reward portal is temporary.
Ancient Xerxes arena and the reward chamber

When Ancient Xerxes dies, a portal appears at 33541,32671,12. It lasts 240 seconds — 4 minutes and leads to the reward chamber at 33541,32655,12. Every player who needs the orb must enter before it disappears.

6. Collect the orb and leave

  1. After taking the boss portal, use the chest immediately north at 33541,32653,12.
  2. Each character can claim one Xerxes Auraorb. Every eligible player must use the chest personally; killing the boss alone does not place the orb in your inventory.
  3. Equip the orb in your Auraorb slot to receive its 5% experience boost. Keeping it in a backpack does not activate that boost. You can check it with !expboost.
  4. Leave through the portal at 33542,32658,12. It returns you to 33152,32563,7 in Ankrahmun.

If the reward does not fit in your inventory, check your depot inbox and the delivery message. A character that has already claimed this chest cannot collect a second orb from it.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to check
The throne-room door will not let me through. Each player needs level 250.
The ritual says “Something is missing..”. Check all ten offering positions and the item on top of each position. Use six ordinary Armor: 8 helmets, two Scarab Amulets and two Holy Scarabs.
All offerings are correct, but nothing happens. Six players must occupy the six exact throne positions. After arranging the items, have one player step off and back on.
My Helmet of the Ancients is rejected. The enchanted Armor: 11 version is a different item. Use the ordinary Armor: 8 version.
I found the hint pages but cannot enter the boss room. The pages are clues. The six players and correctly placed offerings activate the ritual.
The boss died, but I did not receive the orb. Take the four-minute portal and personally use the final chest. The orb is a chest reward.
The chest says “it's empty.”. This character has already claimed its reward. If you just claimed it and cannot find the item, check your depot inbox and the delivery message.
I own the orb but do not see its experience boost. Equip it in the Auraorb slot, then use !expboost.
