MONSTER POINTS automatic group counters |
GETTING STARTED progression roadmap |
Monster Points are automatic, capped kill counters for configured monster groups. They are not a currency that you spend. Quests, access checks, bosses and the client task tracker read these counters as progression goals.
How points are awarded
| Situation | Base result before temporary multipliers |
|---|---|
| Eligible damage contributor outside shared party | 1 point. |
| Solo player outside a party who deals at least 99% of the damage | 2 points for a normal tracked monster. |
| Active member of a shared-experience party | 1 point when the member has been active within the last 30 seconds. |
| Demonic monster | Adds 3 points before global/voucher multiplication. |
| Archdemonic monster | Adds 6 points before global/voucher multiplication. |
| Exception/boss-style monster | Only the top-damage player receives 1 point; other contributors receive none for that counter. |
Double Monster Points events and Demonic Boost vouchers multiply the calculated value when active. The final result is capped at the configured maximum for that group.
What is tracked
The active source contains 166 monster-point group entries. A group can contain one boss or several related monsters and has its own cap. Current examples include:
| Group | Maximum | Example eligible monsters |
|---|---|---|
| Demon | 1,500 | Demon, Grand Demon |
| Dragon | 10,000 | Dragon Lord, Solar Dragon, White Dragon, Demonic Dragon, Toxic Dragon, Undead Dragon |
| Inquisitor | 10,000 | Inquisitor Scholar, Apprentice, Guard, Adept and Witch Hunter |
| Gorgol | 2,000 | Gorgol Warrior, Berserker, Shaman and Archer |
| Immortal | 2,000 | Immortal and Lightning combat families |
| Tentacle | 2,000 | Tentacle Archmage, Archer and Slayer |
| Urtrudurk | 5,000 | Urtrudurk Warrior, Archer, Berserker and Spellslinger |
| Samurai | 4,000 | Samurai Guard, Wizard, Archer and Bloodthirsty Samurai |
| Single access bosses | Usually 1 | Examples include Immortal God, Gorgol Warlord and multiple Ancient Dragons |
The client tracker is the authoritative complete list for counters already discovered by the character. A static list of every technical quest counter would mix unrelated NPC missions and access states.
Tracker behavior
- A counter is added to the tracker when the character first receives progress.
- The Tasks channel reports the new value and its cap after a credited kill.
- A counter stops increasing after reaching its maximum.
- Already-progressed counters below their cap are restored in the tracker after login or client replacement.
Common misunderstandings
!taskschecks Omni Quest task completion; it does not display Monster Points.- A monster may belong to more than one quest/task context, but each configured counter has its own cap.
- Simply being nearby is not sufficient outside an eligible active shared-experience party.
- Boss-style exceptions deliberately do not award the counter to every damage contributor.
