GETTING STARTED progression roadmap |
NPC Tasks are persistent monster-kill assignments defined by the main task system. They are separate from Daily Tasks and from the automatic Monster Points counters.
| System | How it starts | What progress means |
|---|---|---|
| NPC Tasks | Start through the client Tasks window or the NPC that owns the assignment. | Kill the listed monster or monster family, then claim the reward. |
| Daily Tasks | Start from the Daily Tasks window. | Finish a daily item or monster objective; two tasks in one tier unlock that tier's daily boss. |
| Monster Points | No manual start. | Eligible kills automatically fill capped counters used by quests, access and trackers. |
Current task catalogue
There are 260 unique NPC tasks across four quest grades. Most are connected to the Cursed task NPCs, while others belong to progression NPCs such as Order Scouts, General Nobuyuki and Amidamaru.
The wiki does not duplicate all 260 NPC-filtered entries as a static catalogue. The in-game window filters tasks by the NPC or interface that opened it and shows the current kill target, required amount, state and rewards. This avoids presenting assignments that a character cannot start from its current progression route.
Starting and active-task limits
- A regular account can have up to 6 NPC tasks active at once.
- An account with active Golden Days can have up to 12 active at once.
- Only one Grand task can be active at a time.
- Starting a task sets its counter to zero and adds it to the task tracker.
- Cancelling an active task removes it from the tracker and resets its current kill counter.
Kill credit
- A player with the active task receives credit when participating in the kill.
- In an active shared-experience party, eligible members receive progress when they have been active during the last 30 seconds.
- Demonic and Archdemonic variants can grant extra progress according to their type.
- Some solo monster families grant an extra point when the player deals at least 95% of the damage.
- Progress stops at the amount required for the current run of that task.
Completion, rewards and resets
The task window can preview the available reward types. A task may grant experience, money, items, quest progress or a teleport/boss transition.
- Item and money rewards that cannot be placed directly are sent to the inbox.
- Finishing a task marks it complete and removes it from the active tracker.
- Repeatable tasks have an individual limit on how many times they can be reset.
- Each completed repeat increases the next kill requirement by 500.
- Some storyline tasks have reset blocked and can be completed only once.
The !tasks command
!tasks does not open the complete task catalogue. It reports how many qualifying tasks remain for the Omni Quest requirement, or confirms that enough have been completed.
Use the client Tasks button for assignments and the task tracker for active progress.
